California Deputy Director for International Affairs and Business Development Brian Peck announced today that GO-Biz will lead a
statewide coalition of business groups to the ‘SelectUSA Investment Summit,’ hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington D.C., today and tomorrow. 
 

Officials with Valero, a BizFed member, have announced that in November they will distribute $250,000 of proceeds from the 2013 Valero Texas Open and Benefit for Children Golf Classic to benefit 14 Harbor area children’s organizations.

The donations will benefit hundreds of Harbor area children and their families (the golf classic is one of the oldest and most prestigious tournaments on the PGA TOUR and was held earlier this year in San Antonio).

Katz Named to LA City Planning Commission

There is some good news to share: LA City Mayor Eric Garcetti has appointed Richard Katz to the Planning Commission.  BizFed has a long positive history of working with Richard as he boldly and thoughtfully served on Metro and Metrolink Boards since the inception of BizFed.
