The Southern California Minority Business Development Council (formerly known as ‘Southern California Regional Purchasing Council’) is the largest minority business advocacy organization in the region, serving over 170 corporate members and over 1000 minority-owned businesses. The council is one of 40 regional councils in the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) network, with members receiving extended outreach and access through the network’s 3,500 corporations and 15,000 minority businesses. SCMBDC provides support and development of its constituents through six core competencies: Minority Business Certification, Database Access, Professional Development, Business Networking, Minority Business Health Insurance, and Access to Capital.
